Battery Replacement· Toronto & the GTA
Battery finally died?A fresh, warranted battery installed where you're parked.

A dead battery in a Toronto winter shouldn't mean waiting hours for a tow. GoldenNorth installs a fresh, warranted battery right where your car sits: home, workplace, parking garage, or roadside, anywhere in Toronto and the GTA, 24/7. We load-test first so you're not buying a battery you don't need, and you get a fair, upfront price quoted on the call.
On many vehicles from the last decade, a battery isn't just swapped, it's registered. Cars with start-stop systems and smart charging need the new battery's type and capacity coded to the body computer so the alternator charges it correctly; skip that step and even a brand-new AGM unit can end up chronically undercharged or cooked within a year. We bring the registration tools along with the battery, which is what makes a driveway replacement the equal of a dealer visit rather than a shortcut.

Battery Replacement questions, answered.
What battery brands and sizes do you carry?
The van is stocked with reputable replacement batteries in the group sizes that fit the large majority of vehicles on GTA roads, including AGM units for cars with start-stop systems. Driving something less common? Mention it on the call and we'll bring the right one.
Will replacing the battery reset my car's settings?
On some vehicles, clock, radio presets, and driver-profile memory can drop when power is cut. We connect a memory saver before disconnecting the old battery so those settings survive the swap, and if your make is one of the finicky ones, we'll tell you before we start.
How long does a car battery last in Canadian winters?
Typically 3-5 years. Cold is the killer: at -18°C a battery delivers roughly half its rated cranking power. If yours is over 4 years old and cranking slowly, have it load-tested before winter does it for you.
